First blog post

Do you beam when you look at your children? Does your heart skip a beat and fill with a million different emotions all at the same time, worry, excitement, fear, love, joy, admiration and pride?

Is it all that you imagined or did it take you by surprise?

Are u the best parent u can be?

So many questions that so many of us ask ourselves everyday.
As a parenting specialist and having worked with children and families for over 12 years I have all the skills and tools (on paper) to be the perfect parent.
Throw in pregnancy, breastfeeding, hormones, sleepless nights, finances and a marriage and it all goes to pot .

I am writing this blog to empower parents everywhere to give themselves a well deserved pat on the back!

What job do you know that is 24hours a day, 7 days a week, comes without a training manual, expects you to learn as you go, and requires you to be a whole host of job roles including; a nurse, teacher, bank, hairdresser, cook, cleaner, mediator, counsellor and kids entertainer to name a few.

Ok so my view, it’s the hardest but most rewarding job in the world and I love every minute (when I’m not tearing my hair out 😉 ).

My aim is to create a site that parents, mothers, fathers, grandparents, caregivers alike can access to relate to but find valuable advice and strategies to help you deal with every day events.
This may take me a little while amongst the nappies, tantrums and overwhelming joy of motherhood so please bare with me, but I hope to start by sharing my own personal experiences to support or lighten your day!

I am a 34 year old ‘Mam’ to two beautiful girls one aged 4 years 8 months and the other 10 months. I hope to use this blog as a way of using my training and expertise as a practitioner to support my role as a parent.

I hope you will join me in sharing in the delight, tears and milestones to embrace parenthood.

What ever parenting role you undertake

Feel empowered today and love life with your children xxx
